Studies conducted have proven that strong command of communication skills is directly related to raising money, launching a new product or service and sustain a long-term business. Moreover, to get your business edge, your marketing tools are on the average level or greater. To excel in communications is the key to attract more people. Moreover, when you make promotional items, say flyers, they must be well articulated.

How do you do it? Here are the steps to make a positive and lasting flyer..

1. Use a fragile hand in drafting the contents and the layout. Keep it simple yet daring so as to draw instant attention. Since flyers do not have much for a space, try using more pictures. They can also tell a lot about your business and your goals. With regards to your texts, use short yet catchy sentences or phrases. Just a few can catch the attention of a multitude. Build your message in a nice and honest way. Never claim false pretenses. It will just turn the enthusiasm off.

2. Create a center of attention. Flyers must have a catchy image or idea highlighted to immediately elicit eagerness on the part of the readers. Center that image or idea to give the flyer focus and dominant visual element. You emphasize it by making it bigger and putting more density.

3. To give an organized look, separate your images and contents using boxes and borders. You group your information and enclose it in a separate box. You can also use light lines to emphasize division.

4. Flyer printing services must be entrusted to skilled and expert printers. Be sure that the printer you choose is also a reputable one. That way, you can get your promotional item at the stipulated time and with the quality you wanted.

5. Once you have created a flyer, stick to it. Same message and design must reach other potential customers. To repeat customers, your message will be pretty much familiar.

Now that you have created a positive and lasting impression, expect a raise in your sales percentage.

"Your attitude will determine your altitude."

If you have a bad attitude, you can change it if you WANT to. A bad attitude is immediately passed on to your customers and that's the quickest way to scare someone off. There are a lot of people who have great latent, but their attitude is the disqualifier of their life.

If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges.

- Avoid spending time with negative people. Avoid spending time with people who make you anxious, or make you feel unhappy. These are the types of people that will drain your energy. Wyess said. “A good attitude makes you feel better. Others see this and judge you by that. People want to work in an upbeat environment, and attitudes play an important role in shaping the work environment.”

You need to be self disciplined. “Discipline is a mark of a leader. “

Always do your best, use self-control, be self-disciplined and think before you act. All of the energy and self-belief in the world will not help you, if you cannot be self-disciplined in completing tasks.

- Schedule everything, schedule all of your tasks inside ACT. Without a schedule, everything ends up in a chaotic mess of random activity. But scheduling is not enough if you don’t work with your schedule.

- Organize your work. You can't be efficient unless you're organised. You don't have to be firm about it, but you must have some system for organising your work. Any system is better than no system, but whatever system you choose, it should organize your tasks in a doable program.

- Learn to manage your time efficiently. Make your workday more effective to grow your business. Take control of your life. Use the best used techniques in the art of goal setting, planning, organizing, prioritizing and delegation.

Work on relationship building.

The relationship is very important because it enables your business to develop, and enables you to learn and benefit in many ways. You make time for other things in your life every day, and your work on your relationship should be no different. You need to reserve time each day to get your relationship recharged.

The right relationship is everything. If people don't like you, you're not going to be successful with them. Remember, people won't go along with you if they can't get along with you. The custodial and maintenance staff isn’t just around to sweep the floors, empty the wastebaskets, and clean up messes. They play an important role in the school environment. These people are not only essential to keeping the building and grounds in top shape and presentable to the public, but also keep the various physical systems in the school in working order. These may include heating & cooling, water, plumbing, and electrical systems, and sometimes even technology. They may also put up walls, plow the snow, line the football field, repair the drinking fountains, and put together classroom furniture.

Your custodial and maintenance workers can help you in a number of ways. They certainly can keep your room and hallway in tip-top shape. Many times, custodians will pick up and collect pencils and pens from the halls, and will drop them off in your room if they know you need them.

And they will often help you out if you have requests. In many schools, their contracts and union will dictate what physical jobs can be done by school personnel other than maintenance/custodial workers. So if you’re having trouble with your room heating unit, your clock is not synchronized with those around the school, or your door is squeaky, you can usually get prompt service if they know you and know you appreciate their time and efforts. If you are well liked by the maintenance staff, your requests may often move up the priority list. And if you want those extra ‘little touches’, such as a shelf put up in your room, or document frames mounted on your walls, such favors are often the reward of your time spent building positive relationships.

Appreciation for their work can be as simple as an honest and genuine ‘thank you’. Often times, including the custodial and maintenance staff in get-togethers and school celebrations goes a long way. Some groups will purchase donuts or treats for the custodians during the year. Other groups put on dinners or cook-outs. If your students bring in any extra treats, be sure to send some down to the maintenance staff.

If you take the time to get to know these hard-working people, and build positive relationships with them, you will definitely reap the rewards. Not only will you have handy people willing to help you out when you need it, but you may even find pleasant, friendly faces in and around your school.

Develop and Maintain Positive Relationships Immediately Using Only Four Ingredients

I often heard in counseling situations that "He says he loves me, but he never shows it." What this person was actually saying was that she heard it in words but was not convinced by his actions (usually a lack of action). Remember the old adage: "Action speaks louder than words."? It could not be truer here.

People who live next door to each other seldom take the time to get to know each other. Or worst yet, co-workers go into the same building daily, and may even ride the same elevator, without even saying a word to each other. And this story goes on daily all across the land - different locations, same scenario! How much more rewarding life would be if people would only take a moment to greet each other and start to develop positive relationships!

It is my belief that we are, at times, our own worst enemy. Despite our kind and helpful intentions, we tend to shoot ourselves in the foot when it comes to developing and maintaining positive relationships.

There tends to be problems among people whenever they ignore each other or demonstrate a lack of respect. I drew this conclusion after studying this counterproductive behavior while in college and again while in the US Air Force. Consequently, I venture to say that ninety to ninety-five percent of the cases I counseled stemmed from lack of mutual respect and/or communication.

"Developing a relationship takes time, but applying the ingredients begins immediately."

The way we learned to develop and maintain our relationships with others usually started in our homes when we were young. If our parents showed love and respect for each other, we tended to do the same for our family members. Having had positive interactions there, we took it to school and eventually to the work place. However, if we never witnessed or learned mutual respect at home, we developed an indifference for our fellow-human being. It is no wonder that we never knew how to show it.

Mutual Respect Goes a Long Way

Respect, whenever demanded, always results in "defiant compliance" (doing it because we have to, usually under pressure, not because we want to for the pure pleasure) that may lead to counterproductive behaviors. When respect is earned, on the other hand, positive things begin to happen on both sides of the fence. The only effective way to earn respect is to give it away. Then, not only will it return, but it will do so a hundredfold. The good thing about developing positive relationships is that it is never too late to do so, despite how blight the situation might seem.

Hint: To create an atmosphere of mutual respect, start by demonstrating in your words and actions respect for others, starting with your spouse and children. A good way to begin is to minimize the negative talk, in yourself and in others. Speak when the atmosphere is friendly. Your family member will be more apt to listen and respond in a friendly manner. Take what you have learned to the workplace and spread respect in similar manner there.

Putting a Little Fun into Your Life

Because we are so busy with the demands of work, home, community events, and church activities, it becomes easy to overlook an all-important aspect for building positive relationships. The good news is that it does not take as much time as we might think. The benefits come in the quality, not the quantity, of time we spend with the other person.

Hint: Spend time on a regular basis, once a week, or two or three times a week, with the other person doing something that you both enjoy. Avoid getting into the routine of making it a forced activity or schedule.

Encouragement Creates Cooperation.

If we expect others to respond to our wishes and requests, we must first believe in ourselves and in the other person as capable and productive persons. This belief, when expressed in positive and supportive words and actions, sends a strong message of encouragement. The other person quickly picks up and responds positively and cooperatively.

Hint: Minimize your mentioning of the mistakes (except in hazardous or other dangerous situations) or the weaknesses of others. Instead, recognize and acknowledge their assets and strengths. Turn their lemons into lemonade.

Show a Little Love in All You Do and Say

I often heard in counseling situations that "He says he loves me, but he never shows it." What this person was actually saying was that she heard it in words but was not convinced by his actions (usually it a lack of action). Remember the old adage: "Action speaks louder than words"? It could not be truer here. Love is both an emotion and an action. Saying it alone is not enough. Neither is showing it by itself. For the other person to feel secure in the relationship, regardless of the level of intimacy, they need to know, see, feel, and perceive that they are on the receiving end, that the other person truly cares for them.

Hint: Expressing our love, care, and concern for the other person is both a feeling and an action that needs to be expressed in words and action. Often such expressions are most powerful whenever they are expressed at a time or occasion when the other person is least anticipating such comments and actions.

Avoid praising; it may seem artificial. Instead give encouragement; it comes across more genuine and caring.

Although mutual respect, love, and funtimes together are all important ingredients in creating positive relationships, it is the encouragement ingredient that is the most important of all. For it is through encouragement that we focus on the strengths and assets of the others. Consequently, it is this encouragement that helps them to believe in themselves and their abilities, that helps them to accept and learn from their mistakes, and that helps them to develop the courage to be themselves, imperfections and all. (This just might be the first step they needed in helping them learn how to maximize their potential.)

There you have it: The four ingredients in developing and maintaining positive relationships, mutual respect, love, having fun together, and encouragement. Now put this recipe into practice with your employees, your customers, your colleagues, and others, and watch the positive results of your behavioral investments grow beyond all leaps and bounds.
