Free Affiliate Programs - an instrument to earn money online

You can earn money from your web traffic by using free affiliate programs.

If you have a website with some traffic, you can make money by having links to merchants' online shops on your site.If someone goes through your links into the shop of the merchant, and buys something, you earn commission from the sale, between 5% and 40% depending on type of merchant. Some merchants also pay for each click or each lead. A lead is a new visitor to the shop that asks for more information or prize offers.

People or companies having these links on their web-sites, are called affiliates, and the links are called affiliate links. The administrative infrastructure by the merchant that the affiliate register into, in order to get the linking code, is called an affiliate program.

To register into an affiliate program is usually free, and through the program you get freely all you need to make the linking code, to monitor the traffic through your links, and to see what commission you have earned.
An affiliate program is not a MLM program, since the affiliates only earn from sales, leads or clicks.

However, in many programs you can recruit other affiliates and earn some commission from the sales made by the recruited affiliates too. There are also common networks operated by third-part companies where several merchants use a common software and administrative infrastructure to recruit affiliates and monitor the traffic from affiliates.

These are called affiliate networks. Both the merchants and potetial affilliates register into the network, and the affiliates can find links to the online shops of hundreds of merchants to use at their web-site. Examples of affiliate networks are Commission Junction and Clixgalore.

From my experience, the best affiliate programs are for merchants selling althernative health items or items for erotic improvements. I also have good experience with programs in the fields skincare, cosmetics and hobby.
What will work best for you, will however depend upon the kind of traffic you have, and the interests of people visiting your site.

Difference Between An Affiliate & Super Affiliate

The vast majority of affiliate marketing sites online are run by people who have no great interest in turning a huge profit. For example, you'll find thousands of blogs where people put up a few Amazon listings and/or Google links on the off chance that a passing browser will click on them.

Difference Between An Affiliate & Super Affiliate

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Super Affiliate! Corny, but "super affiliate" is the new buzzword for affiliates who are both ambitious and successful at affiliate marketing. There are wild claims online about affiliate marketing: Make Millions Overnight! Never Work Again! Unfortunately, these claims are usually false. To go from being a plain affiliate to super affiliate takes a lot of work. In short, you need to be an affiliate of steel.

The vast majority of affiliate marketing sites online are run by people who have no great interest in turning a huge profit. For example, you'll find thousands of blogs where people put up a few Amazon listings and/or Google links on the off chance that a passing browser will click on them. That's all well and good, but this is no way to make a dent in the affiliate marketing game. To be a super affiliate, you need to treat affiliate marketing as a job, not just something that you do on the side to put a couple of bucks in your pocket.

There is a misconception that affiliate marketing is not a real business. After all, the affiliate is not putting out a product. This is patently false. Even though an affiliate marketer is not manufacturing a product, he or she is still offering the product up for sale. An affiliate marketer still needs to be in charge of search engine optimization, custom content, quality web design, financial management, and everything else that goes into running a successful e-business. As with any business, an affiliate marketing plan is only as strong as the amount of work you put into it.

A super affiliate will be able to turn as hefty a profit as a standard business—several sales a day on a number of different fronts. Remember, successful affiliate marketers don't necessarily stop at one site. They set up a variety of affiliate sites with a good web address, quality web design, and lucrative affiliate marketing opportunities. Additionally, once you start selling at an accelerated rate, some affiliate programs will promote you from regular affiliate to super affiliate. If you start sending sales and traffic to a business, they will reward you with better terms.

This isn't an easy proposition, but it is possible. Make sure that an affiliate program has a corresponding super affiliate program in place—better terms for more sales. Even if they don't, an affiliate with good terms up front can really pay off if you're able to make a several sales a month. Affiliate programs with great terms are also sometimes referred to as super affiliates. Find these and you know you'll have a good marketing in place at the start.

Question: My target market is women, and I’m having a hard time getting them to promote my products. They just seem unmotivated. I don’t get it. Does my affiliate program stink or am I recruiting bad affiliates?

Dear Affiliate Manager:
This just goes back to basic psychology. Women and men value different things.

Car salesmen are taught this in their training. When a husband and wife walk into a car showroom, the car salesman will face the husband when he talks about things like … horsepower and engine stuff. Then, he’ll turn to the wife and talk about safety and color options. Is this condescending? Yes. But, it’s also effective. My eyes glaze over when it comes to horsepower, but I want to know what I’m going to look like in my car! Sunroof? Radio? Now we’re talking.

So, what does this have to do with your affiliate program? Simple. Although I can’t speak for all women, obviously, I can tell you the things I value in an affiliate program.

Quality. I value my newsletter subscribers and am building a relationship with them. (According to recent studies, women go online to find relationships and support.) If your product or service is junk, then you could offer me 99% commission with a 99% conversion rate and I’m still not going to sell it to my visitors.

Affordability. I can’t promote a product that I, myself, would not buy. If you’re overpriced for what you offer, I can not promote your products to my subscribers.

Dollars and Cents. Of course money is a factor. It’s just not the #1 factor, as you may be surprised to know. 20% commission vs. 40% -- I’m not as concerned about that as I am the other items in this list.

Tools: Yes, tools. This is really big, and so few affiliate managers “get it”. I think I’ve finally pinpointed why this is such a big thing (at least for me). This scenario happens way too often: I find a product I am really excited about and I eagerly sign up for their affiliate program. I log in so I can start telling everyone I know about this great product or service. I can’t wait to see what they have in the “links” section. Will there be articles, or a rebrandable e-book maybe? Or even an informative video? It’s like Christmas morning… what will I find? And, then the affiliate section opens and there’s one measly link and a button.

My initial gut reaction is “They’re not even trying!” And now, I don’t feel valued or motivated in the least bit. You just succeeded in turning your biggest fan into someone who stuck a lousy button on her page and knows it’s not going to sell at all.

I know what you’re thinking. It’s the affiliate’s job to sell. Yes, you’re right. As an affiliate, I know that writing reviews and recommendations is the best way to sell a product. No doubt about it. All I’m saying is that you’ve got to give us at least an indicator that you’re interested in building a working ‘relationship’.

Is it hokey to want a relationship with an Affiliate Manager? Yes. It is. But, I can tell you that any affiliate program where I get some attention and appreciation is going to get a lot more loyalty from me than an Affiliate Manager who sits on the couch drinking beer and watching football while I’m running around working my butt off... (Hmmm.... did I say that?)

So, yes, women are from Venus. You can decide to embrace it and reap the rewards, or ignore it and wonder why your affiliates aren’t motivated. It’s your choice. As an affiliate, I’m challenging you to embrace this information and run with it.

It all seemed so easy. Just join up for a free affiliate marketing program and watch the money roll in. I don't know about you, but I feel for it. It had to work after all Rosalind Gardner made almost half a million dollars with affiliate marketing. Other people were getting rich. But after a few failed efforts I realize that I must be doing something wrong. I knew that rather than build a business on hype, I needed to start treating my business like a business.

More and More people are lured into affiliate marketing and you might be one of them. Affiliate marketing is one of the most effective means of generating a full-time income through the Internet. It’s a fair deal between the seller and his affiliates as both benefit from each sale. Like in other kinds of business, a great deal of the profits in affiliate marketing depends on the affiliate’s advertising, promoting and selling strategies. Everyday, as the affiliate marketing industry expands, competition heightens. To be succesful, an affiliate marketer must be creative enough to employ unique and effective ways to convince potential buyers to purchase or avail of the products and services offered.

Compared to traditional advertising practices, affiliate programs are more effective, risk-free and cost-efficient. But why do many people still fail in affiliate marketing? There are a lot of reasons. The most critical aspect in the affiliate program is advertising. Many affiliate marketers fail in this area. Although it pays to be lucky, you cannot merely rely on it. Affiliate marketing isn’t as simple as directing customers to the business site. If you want to earn big, you have to invest time and great deal of hard work in promoting the products. As I already mentioned, the competition is very tough and customers are very wise. After all, who doesn’t want the best deal possible.

A second reason many affiliate marketers fail is, lack of preparation. Part of the preparation is researching. On the part of the merchant, he has to be highly selective in choosing the right affiliate websites for his affiliate program. In order to be sure he has the best choices, he must have exhausted his means of looking for highly interested affiliates whose sites are sure fit to his products and services. The affiliate site’s visitors must match his targeted customers. From the affiliate view point, you need to do research on the best merchandisers before you sign up for an affiliate program. You must ensure that the merchants’ products and services match your interests so you can give your full attention and dedication to the program. You can get valuable information by joining affiliate forums, comparing different affiliate programs and reading articles on affiliate marketing where you can get tips from experienced affiliate marketers on how to choose the best merchants and products with high conversion rate.

The website is another very important tool in the whole affiliate program. As an affiliate marketer, you should plan how your site is going to look. Everything from the domain name to the design, the lay-out, the content, and ads is important. Some users are particular about what they see at first glance and if they find an ugly site, they won’t read through the content even if your site has many things to say and offer. On the other hand, there those who want information more than anything else. Affiliate marketers with “rich-content” web sites are usually the ones who prosper in this business because the content improves traffic to the site. Websites with high quality content and relevant keywords and more importantly, right information about the product and not empty hyped-up advertisement, allow you to earn big in affiliate marketing even when you’re asleep. If you won’t be able to sustain the interest of your site visitor, you won’t be able to lead him to the merchants’ site. No click-through means no sale and no sales means no income on your part.

Selecting a top level domain name is also crucial to the success of the affiliate program. Lots of affiliate sites don’t appear in the search engine results because they are deemed by affiliate managers as personal sites. Before you decide on the domain name, you need to decide what you are going to promote. Many fail because their sites are not appropriately named, so even when they feature the exact products the customer is looking for, the customer might think the site is not relevant and won’t enter the site.

Above all, an affiliate marketer must be willing to learn more. I try to learn something new about affiliate marketing every day. There are still a lot of things to learn and you must continue to educate yourself so you can improve your marketing strategies. Many fail because they don’t grow in the business and they are merely concerned about earning big quickly. If you want long-term and highly satisfactory results, take time to learn the ins and outs of the business. Continue to improve your knowledge especially with the basics in affiliate marketing ranging from advertising to programming, web page development, and search engine optimization techniques. Likewise, study the needs and wants of your site users and how different merchandisers compete with each other.

Last of all, Keep on trying; don’t get disappointed if your first attempts did not pay off. Thousands are attracted by the possibility of generating skyrocketing incomes through affiliate marketing and so they sign up in any affiliate program without carefully understanding every aspect of the business. When they don’t get instant results, they quit and sign up for another program and repeat the process of just copying links and referring them to others. When you sign up for an affiliate program, don’t expect to get rich in an instant. Work on your advertising strategies and be patient. You’ll never know how much you can get if you don’t persevere. Look at it this way if it takes you $50 in advertising to make a $55 sale you've just made a 10% return on your investment in a really short period of time. Rather than looking at it as a lousy five bucks. Figure out how you can do the same thing 100 times a day and you are now making $500 a day. What you may have viewed as a failure may have been a great success.

Google deals another blow to the Work from Home affiliate.

Click arbitrage affiliate links Google just put your minimum bids into overdrive. In January of 2005 Google ensured that only one url per sponsored result would show in the search engine results pages shown. Now it seems they want to eliminate them all together by pricing the bids beyond that of the reach of the average work from home affiliate with their new quality page ranking system introduced in early July.

Keywords:

Work at home, affiliate links, home business, work from home.

Article Body:

Earlier in the year I wrote an article about Google’s policy changes and how it affected the home based affiliate. It was centered around the policy changes made in January of 2005 and was a review of the changes I had seen over a year I wrote in the article the importance of writing quality landing pages for affiliate links and incorporating the links into article type formats. The benefits of doing this was to offset Google’s policy of only one url per site including merchant and all affiliate urls in the sponsored advertising column of Google’s search result pages. By creating a keyword relevant web page and doing minimal seo work it is possible to offset and in fact even work this policy to your advantage.

Now it seems not only does Google want to limit their sponsored results obtained through ppc to one url per program but that they are making a concerted effort to totally eliminate all affiliate links from ppc results by placing the minimum bid beyond the range of the normal work at home affiliate. How they have justified this is by claiming to installed a page quality ranking system where by pages with low ranking will have excessively higher minimum bids. In fact many webmasters are now reporting bids starting at ten dollars us per click. One poor chap was selling a product for $4.95. So even if he had a 100 percent sales rate on his paid for clicks he would be making a US 5.05 dollar lose every click. His business is basically wiped out till he can organize an alternative supplier of traffic.

Now I see the long term wisdom of Google doing this, They have to protect their business and with the poor or sometimes not quite relevant or duplicate results returned it is easy to see users becoming immune or ignoring all together the sponsored ads. We all saw how quickly banner advertising lost its effectiveness. What I do find a little unnerving is the seemly arrogance and perhaps short sightedness by doing this in the manner they have. Surely they would have been better served to have given some warning the reasons behind the changes rather than state your website lacks relevance and quality if you improve this we will look into the situation with your site. As it stands now looking through forums that cater to the ppc webmasters it is apparent that Google is going to lose a large portion of their adwords accounts to other providers.

Now on the other hand those with adsense accounts should of noticed some significant increase in the amount their clicks were paid at. I for one have not. Which surprised me having a website in the serps on page one for the keywords work at home on three of the four most used search engines. The number one spot on Google.com for keywords earn online business and many combinations of this centered around keyword phrases using earn, online, home, business, money, work, opportunity. So where is the entire extra click through bid cash going too it certainly isn’t my account. In fact this week I’ve noticed increase of only a few cents per click.

One perhaps short term benefit Is I now see a lot of products mainly ebooks and web site portal generators for Adsense that promised to show the purchasers how to make huge income from click arbitrage now being given away in joint venture promotions and freebies for joining subscriber lists. Probably these entrepreneurs have contributed more to this change needing to be implemented more than any other single other factor. As they are responsible for the huge number of sites that have sprung up to cash in on click arbitrage and as the products didn’t have the right formulas to get listed in the serps they had a total reliance on ppc traffic.

Somehow I get the feeling this is only the beginning So if you read my previous article Has Google’s New Policy Released In January Signalled the End of Work From Home Business Affiliate Links? then you better get concentrating on creating some relevant content laden landing pages for your work from home affiliate links.

Affiliate marketing is sharing revenue between an online merchant and one or more affiliates. The affiliate refers new customers to the online merchant and is paid a commission for either the new referral or sales generated. There are several advantages to affiliate marketing, mainly you don't need to generate or stock an inventory of products, no need to create an online e-store, and you never have to worry about keeping a customer happy, the merchant takes care of it all.

Now, for sure you want to be an affiliate marketer with all the benefits an affiliate could get. But, do you have what it takes to be an affiliate marketer? To properly begin in affiliate marketing, you have to decide what area or areas you're interested in. What products do you know the most and which products you could do the best job of selling? Once you discover your specialty; perseverance, patience, and determination comes next. These qualities should be possessed in order to be a good affiliate marketer.

A lot of online affiliate marketers become impatient and fail. You have to know your strengths and weaknesses, what things are you good at and what are your abilities and capabilities related to your chosen niche. The most important thing is you have to have a strong desire and will to succeed in affiliate marketing.

To be an affiliate marketer is not an easy task. You have to learn the techniques of marketing your product or service. There are many marketers out there promoting their ways of marketing, one should be cautious in attempting to jump on each technique. To be a successful affiliate marketer, you should learn how to listen and to be taught because in life we need to learn skills to get by.

An affiliate marketer should know how to effectively market their product; an effective marketing technique will get thousands of visitors to view their product which equates to more sales. Creating and publishing your own website will create a bigger chance of making money online faster. Avoiding the same mistakes of other affiliates is advised; many are just in it for a quick buck and fail to build a long term business. It's important to understand that you're building a long term business. It is essential to focus on what will makes you several sales each day and not the few dollars you'll make in one sale.

It is also better to have knowledge on how to upsell your visitors for expensive services. This will distinguish you as an expert to the field which will allow you to sell more products and make more money. There are some people thinks that just by having affiliate links on their website will bring them good profits. It is true that some affiliates do make good money this way, but many still believe that it is more effective to use a strong marketing campaign in order to be successful. Affiliate marketers who treat their online visitors or customers as friends are more successful than those who don't. Establish a relationship with customers and especially with the visitors to your website. Building a good business relationship with customers will bring that customer back again and again.

You should also be creative. The real key to being successful with affiliate marketing is to develop a good content based website and weave your affiliate links into all your content. Providing your visitors with good, quality, and updated content will keep them coming back to your site. Affiliate marketing can be a long term profitable and successful business. Question: Why are my affiliates asking for brandable reports? How am I supposed to manage that?

Dear Affiliate Manager,
What tools are you providing to your affiliates? If it’s just a standard button or text link, you’re only doing half your job. Not only is it less productive for you to have a group of affiliates half-interested in promoting your product, but it’s just irresponsible to have an affiliate program without helping your affiliates to make money.

You heard me. I’m sick and tired of it and I’m speaking my mind.

Help me… to help you. Affiliate marketing is supposed to be win-win. So, let’s work together on this to make us both some money.

My favorite affiliate programs provide many free tools. All things the same, I’ll promote an affiliate program that looks like they care more than one that isn’t even trying, because, to me, it is a reflection on their overall quality.

Perhaps it’s because I’m a woman. I like to build relationships. I like to feel appreciated.

And, of course, I’m in affiliate marketing because I want to make money! So, when I find an affiliate program that offers a brandable free report that I can share with my subscribers, promote a great product and make money in the process? Score!

Now, don’t insult my intelligence by packaging up some random articles that have nothing to do with anything and telling me it’s an ebook. Don’t give me junk. First of all, you’re representing your quality, and I’m representing mine. So, give me something good. A quality report or ebook, with a great preview of your product and what you offer.

My readers will be loyal, and so will I.

Do you want a loyal army of affiliates? Walk a mile in their shoes. Why did they sign up for your affiliate program? Because they believe in your products. Treat them well, and you’ll have loyalty that you can’t buy at any price.

Dear Affiliate Manager: Are You Hoarding Your Articles?

Question: My affiliates keep bugging me about my articles. Why do they want my articles and should I let them have them? What do I get out of it?

Dear Affiliate Manager,

Question: My affiliates keep bugging me about my articles. Why do they want my articles and should I let them have them? What do I get out of it?

Dear Affiliate Manager,
You hit on my pet peeve. Stop hoarding your articles already! Do you want your affiliates to promote your program repeatedly to their lists and on their sites or don’t you? Isn’t the goal to get your website exposure all over the internet? The more sales your affiliates make – the more money you’ll BOTH make.

My favorite affiliate programs are the ones which provide me with articles or brandable ebooks. These marketers understand what it’s like to be an affiliate who wants to make money. Make it easy for me to promote your product repeatedly. Give me quality articles I can use on my websites, in my newsletter and in my blog with my affiliate link included. Don’t just shove a link at me and say “good luck”. It’s not exactly motivating me to go sell your product. Hey, if you don’t give me the tools I want, your competition will.

And, let me clarify something. Providing free affiliate articles with links to your other websites in it, bypassing your affiliates – that’s just wrong. Please don’t make the article leaky by adding several self-promoting links in the body of the article. As an affiliate, I don’t want to promote your other programs and send you leads out of sheer generosity. Although I am a nice person and I’m happy to promote good products, I’m not donating my time to promote your products. First, the products have to be good. Secondly, all things equal, I have to be able to feed my family in the process. Stealing commissions from your own affiliates is just wrong on many levels.

So, what can you do to start building a loyal army of affiliates today? Put yourself in their shoes. They’ve signed up for your program because they believe in your products and in your reputation. Show them that you view your affiliates as partners and you’ll have loyalty that you can’t buy at any price.

Question: How do you choose an affiliate program to promote? There are so many out there. Which ones are good?

Dear New Affiliate,

There are several ways to determine whether an affiliate program is worthy. Oftentimes it looks like the Affiliate Manager has all the power, but this is a partnership. There really are thousands of programs available. Don’t sign up and promote just any of them. If you aren’t completely thrilled about the program, look 5 more minutes and you’ll find something better.

Here are some questions to ask yourself whenever you find an affiliate program you’re interested in.

Are the products something you believe in?
The products better be good. If you’re not 100% sold on the products to the point that you’d tell your best friend to buy them – then you’ve got no business signing up for that affiliate program. Keep looking for something better.

Is their website professional?
Your reputation is on the line every time you promote a product or service. If you’re sending your traffic to a website that is on free hosting or just looks unprofessional, then you’re going to lose the confidence of your subscribers. Now, many sales letters aren’t ‘pretty’ but they are grammatically correct, and everything is functional, with pictures and testimonials. So, although the website doesn’t have to be beautiful, it does need to look ‘live’.

Is their website easy to navigate?
If shoppers can’t figure out how to purchase, then there’s no point in sending your traffic there.

What are the numbers?
If you have two programs you like equally well, you can choose between them or write reviews for each and compare and contrast their benefits. Or, if that doesn’t fit into your site, then test both to see which gives you the best results.

Free trial?
Any product that offers samples or service that offers a free trial deserves a look. If you can offer your website visitors a sample of any sort to get them hooked, you’ll have much higher results than trying to convince them that the product is good.

Are there any tools to help you?
The best affiliate programs go above and beyond in their tools and resources section. Not only do they provide the standard text links and buttons and banners, but you also have solo mailings, articles, and even product feeds. These are the affiliate programs that ‘get it’.

Once you find an affiliate program that you love, it’s still smart to continue to test the results. Just because you think it’s great doesn’t mean you visitors will. Continually look at the statistics to see how much traffic you’re sending and if any of it is converting. If you’re not getting results and you’re sending a lot of traffic, then you might want to look at a new program.

Article Body:

A home based business offers you the opportunity to work at home while earning profits on a full-time or part-time basis. You can often set your own schedule and create a comfortable office setting that enables you to do your daily home business tasks. What you may not realize is there are more ways than one to start your own home business. With an Internet home business, you can enhance your profits with affiliate programs by adding these to your already successful website or by promoting them solely as your business.

Affiliate programs are opportunities in which you send customers to another company and receive commissions when those customers make a purchase or sign up for a service. As an affiliate, you will be promoting someone else's products and business while you enjoy a percentage of the profits. There are advantages and disadvantages of affiliate programs, but once you understand how they work, you can easily start a home based business by promoting the skills and products of others.

Benefits of Affiliate Programs for Home Business

With affiliate programs, you're able to have a completely online home based business. By this we mean you can work entirely from home online without visiting customers or businesses in person. You don't have to network around the neighborhood with friends and family members. You can do all your promotions online from home, and with many programs, you'll never have to come in direct contact with customers. Affiliate programs offer a legitimate home based business opportunity without the high startup costs of a regular business. You don't have to stock inventory, accept credit card payments, or ship any products.

Disadvantages of an Affiliate Program

The main disadvantage of an affiliate program is a lower conversion ratio. It's commonly known that you must promote the right product to the right audience to make a sell in any business. But with affiliate programs, this is still true plus you must promote to even more people. The conversion ratio for purchases is often lower with affiliate programs than if you were to sell your own product directly. Therefore, you must promote diligently and be sure to do plenty of research to find the appropriate products with good conversion ratios.

Another disadvantage is you're at the mercy of each affiliate company. If they go out of business, so do you! It's a good idea to sign up with several reputable, established companies so you won't have to worry so much about this.

Recurring Income

An affiliate program can be more beneficial if it offers ways to make residual income. There are some affiliate programs that offer services with recurring payments from customers, such as hosting services, marketing services, and so forth. These will often pay you every time the customer makes a payment so you can earn again and again just from one customer. Other services might offer you commissions on every future purchase made by one customer. Both of these setups are often more profitable than one-time sales unless you can find a one-time program that pays really well for that one payment.

Add Affiliate Income to Your Current Home Based Business

Another home business idea is to add related affiliate programs to your current home business. You might sell your own product, but want to add other products or services without adding to your labor. Affiliate programs can enhance your income without adding more work or products. You can add affiliate links to your current website and receive commissions every time someone makes an affiliate purchase.

You might ask, "What's the best home based business with affiliates?" This is a difficult question because everyone is different. You have to consider what you enjoy doing and the types of products or services that interest you. Find something you love doing so you won't burn out after a year or so. Discover home business opportunities that pay well AND give you a sense of fulfillment every day.

With an Internet home business and affiliate programs, you'll soon enjoy profits never before imagined while doing the work you love from home!

Ok, so you have a tight budget and no money, no product, really no business whatsoever, but you want to start earning a living online. The two easiest and profitable ways to start earning a good source of income is with AA and I am not talking about Alcoholics Anonomous either! With Google Adsense, you can literally start earning and generating an income from day one if you set it up right.

The other avenue of generating income is through affiliate marketing. What is affiliate marketing? This is a form of referral marketing where you market for others and their products to earn a commission from them plus they give you a website to promote as well. What really makes this a fast homebased business opportunity so attractive is the fact that while selling other peoples products, you are earning the income to help create your own product or service plus your are able to grow a customer base as well if set up properly.

So the only upfront investment to use Adsense or to become an Affiliate will be your time well spent researching the products and getting keyword rich content for your site or on free blogs. Yep, you got it, you don't even need a website to earn an income online.

S0, you ask yourself, "Where do I start?" My suggestion is to start with Adsense. Research the kind of "niche" or topic you would like to possibly investigate, whether it be something like "dog grooming" or even "baking and creating that perfect low fat meal". Anyone hungry? The options are endless and there is money to be made, why not get a slice of that huge pie?

First things first... you need a website in order for Google to approve your account. I would suggest you create a generic blog at first and then you can edit it later! Or if you are web savy and have a website already you can use it. Affiliate site won't work because they are not editable. After you have your web address for that blog, create your google account. In some cases, you can create an account right within the blog itself.

Ok, so, you have researched the area of interest. The next step is to write an article on your topic, then you would need to organize your wording to where you have a heading, a heading 2, along with the body. You will want to place 2-3 major keywords that you found a few times within your entire article spacing them accordingly, but not overdoing it. This will help with Search Engine Optimization as well, which will lead to more traffic. The more traffic, the better income you will make.

After you have your blog or website in place, you now have a website that you can distribute. Submit your article to as many article company's as possible and be sure you add a resource box at the bottom about who you are, and your website address. This is where your traffic will come into play. Others will use your article in newsletters, emails, etc... talk about a snowball effect!

Ok, so you have your Adsense campaing up and running. You can then conscentrate with your affiliate makreting. You can also write articles about your affiliate site to generate traffic and sales by applying your Adsense website along with your Affiliate website within your resource box, therefore generating even more traffic. It is extremely possible to generate an income through Google Adsense without selling a single thing from your affiliate site!

Question: Why aren’t my affiliates promoting my affiliate program? And, how do I get more to sign up?

Dear Affiliate Manager:

I can tell you in a heartbeat whether or not your affiliate program is attracting loyal, motivated affiliates. It’s easy. Just put yourself in your affiliate’s shoes. If you’re not creating loyalty in your affiliates, they’re going to look for a better program to promote, and you’ll be left in the dust.

Now that I’ve got your attention, let’s go through some key components of making your affiliate program attractive to affiliates, so they don’t start shopping around.

1. Reputations are on the Line.
Of course, number one is quality. Do you have quality products and customer service? An affiliate’s reputation is on the line every time we consider promoting a product or service. If your products are junk or you’re making our referrals upset in any way – we’ll drop you faster than something *really* hot.

2. Lay the Money on the Table.
It’s not just about the percentage commission. That won’t motivate and make loyal affiliates, but, it is a start. Are you talking 5%? Then, unless you offer millions of products at great prices and have a solid reputation, you’re not going to be getting a whole lot of affiliates.

3. Who’s getting credit?
Show your affiliates that you value them by setting long cookies and they’ll keep sending you traffic. How long are your cookies? The longer the better.

4. Closing the Deal.
If your affiliates are sending you traffic, I hope you have a newsletter (or ecourse) on that sales page for two reasons. 1. It means you’re smart and know how internet marketing works, and 2. It means that the affiliates get more than one chance to close the deal, because you’re going to be following up with the lead and closing the sale for us. This shows us that you take your business seriously – a very important indicator.

5. Like Frosting on the Cake.
Assuming all things are equal, if your program is two-tier or residual, you’ll have affiliates lined up to promote you.

6. Are you even trying?
There is nothing more frustrating than joining an affiliate program that you’re really excited about, logging in and seeing … nothing but a couple of links. No content, no ebooks, no videos. Zip. This is especially disappointing if you know the author or owner is sending out a weekly newsletter. Share your articles with your affiliates, allow them to be rebranded, and I guarantee you’ll get loyalty.

7. That’s just Rude.
Almost more insulting than not providing any content is providing ‘leaky’ articles. Yes, I have seen affiliate programs that so “generously” provide articles for their affiliates. But, the articles had plugs for their other programs in the body of the article. Now, I’m not naming names, but I do feel that’s pretty cheap to be stealing from your own affiliates.

Those are just a few ways to tell if your affiliate program stinks.

I hope you read and reread this advice. Treat your affiliates like partners and they’ll plaster your link all over the web. You’ll have affiliates lined up to promote every new product you offer, and they’ll sing your praises every chance they get.

Do You Want To Receive More Affiliate Checks?

Affiliate Marketing is by far, one of the easiest ways to make money online. It is a revenue sharing business relationship between the affiliate who agrees to promote the products or services, and the merchant who offers them.

Affiliate Marketing is by far, one of the easiest ways to make money online. It is a revenue sharing business relationship between the affiliate who agrees to promote the products or services, and the merchant who offers them.

The affiliate advertises the merchant's products and services and gets a commission for every successful referral. Every time a customer is referred to the merchant's site, through the affiliate's efforts, and makes a purchase, the affiliate gets a share of the profit. No payment is due to the affiliate until successful results are realized. Compensation is based on either number of visits (Pay-per-click), registrant (Pay-per-lead), or commission for each sale (Pay-per-sale).

Affiliate Marketers can earn a few bucks to thousands of dollars with affiliate programs. The opportunity to earn in affiliate marketing can only be limited by the affiliate's determination, creativity and strategy. It is a brilliant way to earn online, and you do not have to produce your own product or service to make a buck. By advertising your merchant's products passionately, you get more in return. Profits in affiliate marketing usually start small but can get larger as the campaign starts to build up steam.

There are many ways that an affiliate marketer can do to maximize their profits. If you ask any affiliate marketer how many affiliate checks they would want to receive, they will most likely want to get as many as possible. Some affiliate checks are small, amounting to nothing more than $25.

While others are large and can easily reach the thousands and even more. Over time, these affiliate checks may build up to a really impressive amount. However, making a fortune in affiliate marketing is not instant. You should put in enough work and effort as well. You have to use your imagination to find more ways to attract more web traffic that can convert to sales for the merchant and profit for you as well.

How many affiliate checks do you want to receive? Most affiliate marketers will enthusiastically reply that they want to receive as many affiliate checks as possible. However, is it as easy as it sounds? Does joining many affiliate marketers guarantee more affiliate checks that really amount to something? The answer is No. Most affiliate marketers assume that joining multiple affiliate programs is a wise option. Because, it is very easy to join affiliate programs and there is really nothing to lose, affiliate marketers are tempted to join as many programs they can get their hands on. Thus, they fail to give their affiliate programs enough attention and work that they ought to receive. The maximum potential of the affiliate programs are not realized and the resulting income from these programs will almost certainly be disappointing.

The best way to achieve multiple streams of income is to concentrate on one affiliate program first. Choose a product or service that you can promote passionately. Pick a product in which you have complete trust. The best products and services to promote are those that you use personally. Your prospects will be able to sense your sincerity whenever you promote a product that you have experienced. This will greatly enhance your credibility as well as your product's marketability and will really encourage your prospect to purchase or avail of the product or service.

As soon as your first affiliate program is making a reasonable profit then you can proceed to joining another affiliate program and repeat the process. "Too much, too soon" is a common pitfall in affiliate marketing. Joining too many affiliate programs simultaneously in the hopes of having multiple streams of income simply does not work.

Focus first on one affiliate program and work on it so that it makes a good profit. Then, go find another promising program and give it your best effort. The question should not be how many affiliate checks you want to receive, but how many "high-paying" affiliate checks can you receive. The answer lies in your determination to succeed and determination to maximize your earning potential. With the right tools, the right actions, and perseverance you can definitely make a good profit out of affiliate marketing.
